From Photon to Information - Detection for Life-Science

Sensovation is the expert for detection tasks where high-resolution and/or high sensitivity is absolutely essential. These applications include diagnostics, medical technology, biotechnology and also luminescence detection in various non Life Science applications. The product line includes a range of standard products and customer specific OEM solutions. Both, standard products and customized OEM solutions are produced by Sensovation for different industries. Standard products include scientific cameras, imaging instruments and microscopes. Further customized electro-optical solutions based on Sensovation’s experience in various detection applications are available on request.

Sensovation’s imaging technology is ideally suited to port multiplexed diagnostics from clinical research to daily routine analysis. Existing products are designed for future miniaturization and simplification. Although some of the cameras and instruments are widely used today in scientific labs, their next generation will be used in alternative remote testing sites. The transition from research to routine is already designed into the instrument concept.

Sensovation’s product line includes the following products and OEM solutions:

• coolSamBa cameras comprising a range of cooled, high sensitivity scientific cameras for high resolution imaging applications. These cameras are used mostly in the field of biotechnology and medical technology. Although these cameras are designed for providing optimized solutions for Life-Science applications they are also ideal for inspection of photovoltaic cells and modules.

• CLAIR® and FLAIR® colorimetric and fluorescent imaging readers for low density microarrays. These are instruments for microarray detection and analysis with emphasis on Arrays-in- Microplates analysis used for multiplexed diagnostic in routine and research applications. Typical assays measured with CLAIR and FLAIR include protein arrays, multiplexed ELISAs or genotyping assays.

• LumiSens® electro-optical OEM module used in instrumentation for fluorescence detection of microarrays, beads or cells in biochemical analysis and diagnostics. This module is a robust miniaturized fluorescence microscope, with full-blown performance. There are several customized versions of LumiSens available and there is a good chance that Sensovation can quickly adapt one of them for your specific application requirement.

• Fully automated next-generation fluorescence microscope for fast and high resolution histology and for cell analysis. Typical applications include Fluorescence-in-Situ-Hybridisation (FISH) and other molecular-based microscopy techniques.

• Envinci a powerful video signal processing board for Video Endoscopy for fast FPGA- and DSP- based video image processing enabling fast image processing which had previously only been possible on external PCs with a wide range of integrated video interfaces.
